For the most part, Manly Dan’s a lax father, but he’s very overprotective when it comes to the forest and its supernatural inhabitants. He raised Wendy to be careful and how to use her ax defensively, but only to be used in Extreme Circumstances. He knows he can’t stop his boys from exploring, but he never goes anywhere without his sons. He trusts Wendy to be cautious enough that he knows she would never go stupidly looking for trouble.

♔ — a headcanon about our muses’ relationship
I like to think that Wendy sort of takes Jane under her wing, despite being the younger of the two. She thinks that maybe the other teenagers might be a bit much for Jane, so she slowly tries to introduce them one by one and tries to build up to everyone hanging out in one big, happy, rowdy group.

I like to think that Wendy is a huge murder dork, I guess would be the term. She’s fascinated by serial killers, especially lady killers. She’s probably marathoned Deadly Women more times than she’d like to admit, but of course she doesn’t tell anyone about this interest. She doesn’t want anyone to get the wrong idea about her.
Wendy would be crazy aggressive when she’s scared and would probably need someone to hold her back in a haunted house because she’d probably try to fight a ghost.
[[ Wendy would be the type of person to pretend to be brave while watching/playing horror things, but stay up at night because—oh gosh, what was that noise? ]]
[[ If you don’t think that Wendy would at some point try to get Dipper to play a horror video game with her, then IDK what to say to you, bruh. ]]

Headcanon that Wendy is a total CSI/crime drama nerd.
Like you know that breaking into an abandoned convenience store where a “murder” took place was totally her idea. And all the other teens were at first like, “…uh yea, Yeah! That sounds totally rad!” cuz Wendy’s the coolest and they’re dumb teenagers. And she totally nerded out with the blacklight because she’s adorable.
Also she’s got like, a random poster of a chalk outline hanging on her bedroom wall??? Ok, Wendy.
*OH! Also she definitely watches those murder shows on ID and stuff.
Wendy’s very much fascinated in fictional horror things; horror movies, scary games, thriller novels, abandoned (and possibly haunted) places—she’s interested in all of it.
