The town was grossly familiar: although he tried to avoid mostly everyone, each face he passed sent another needle through his head. Lowering his hood didn’t make any difference, either. Great.
One good thing came of the whole ordeal though. That one building that really made his head throb? It pulled him in like a magnet. Which, according to him, was a really good sign. He made his way for the entrance.
Wendy was only home for summer vacation from college, she hadn’t stayed in Gravity Falls for more than a month or so since she had gone off to pursue a business degree. Not that it mattered much where she was; hardly any of her high school friends had returned to the sleepy town after leaving.
She had been baking in a weak attempt to get how bored she was without her usual crew in town anymore when a knock sounded at the door. She was the only one in—her father and brothers were on another fishing trip. Wiping her floury hands on a hand towel, she quickly made her way to the front door.
She wasn’t expecting to be met with Dipper’s all too familiar face, albeit older now than the last time she’d seen him. “Yo, dude, what’s up? It’s been ages, c'mon in.” She quickly stepped aside to let him enter.
