Ellie was snapped back into reality
when a shoulder bumped into her.
Her eyes widened as pale green optics
focused onto the redhead before
standing there a bit speechless at what
just happened. It took her a few seconds
before she replied.
”Ye ─ I mean no!
I mean ‘yea’ as in ‘I’m alright’,
not ‘yea, you hurt me’ kinda…thing.”
Oh gosh, she’d ran into a kid. Guilt and concern flooded through Wendy at this realisation. Guilt for not paying attention, but concern for a kid who seemed to be all by herself in the woods. “Cool, sorry about that. I should’ve been paying attention.” She glanced around once more to make sure there weren’t any adults nearby. Wendy didn't think she was a local, but it couldn’t hurt to double check. “Uh, where are your parents? You’re not by yourself, are you?”
