Out of all the people who would have visited her, Wendy was stunned to see Lulu. She wasn’t just caught off guard by her presence; she was completely embarrassed. She shouldn’t feel ashamed, but she hated the thought of Lulu seeing her when she’s completely vulnerable. As Wendy thought on it, she realised she shouldn’t be so surprised. Lulu was her oldest friend, but she didn’t think Lulu would care so much as to come see her.
Enough gawking. Wendy forced a smile in Lulu’s direction and moved to jam her hands into her pockets. Her hands slid into nothing and she was instantly reminded that she was currently in a hospital gown. “Yo, Lulu. My dad call you or something?”
