“Bill happened….” he said after a long pause. Dip could tell that she wasn’t mad at him for lying but it was still a bit unnerving telling her this. “And before you ask no, he didn’t exactly injure my eye….It’s more like he marked it. Like he owns me or something like that.”
“Did you make a deal with him?” Too late, she realised how silly the question sounded. Of course he’d made a deal, why else would the demon mark him? Wendy forced a tight smile as she added, “I mean, you don’t gotta tell me about it, dude. That’s you business, y'know?”
