“Well..” Heck he didn’t even know how he was going to explain this. “Uh, you remember how I told you that the reason I wore an eye patch was because of an accident ?” He bit his lip and waited for her to respond as he collected his thoughts and wondered how he was going to tell her .
She was confused by the seemingly sudden change of topic, but the realisation dawned over her. He had lied to her, but Wendy wasn’t mad. She sort of understood that their friendship couldn’t be totally open and honest all of the time. “What really happened, Dip?” Her tone wasn’t accusatory, or even mad. She was genuinely curious about his eye injury.
