Dipper froze and stared at her, now aware of how much that deal had meant to her. And even then, she probably didn’t get exactly what she wanted. “Oh…” It was all he could say .He stayed silent for a couple of moments as he stared at the floor. “….I have a way we could talk to him….or at least another version of him….”
She was aware that he was staring—she would have been, too, if she was him. Wendy kept her stare trained on the ceiling, not wanting to meet his eye. She didn’t want to know what he was thinking. Wendy knew her wish was silly and not worth selling her soul, but she’d done it anyway. “Would that work? If it’s not the same dude, could he give me my soul back?”
