He thought for a moment, trying to shift his arm a small bit, starting to feel a cramp coming on — he wouldn’t have guessed arm cramps where a thing.
“I don’t know?” He paused for a moment, “Wait … But isn’t that how this works? I mean — That’s how dad viewed things…”
She pursed her lips as she let go of his arm. She wasn’t going to get anywhere with him like this, not if he’d been raised with this chauvinistic attitude. “Dip, I’m gonna drop a knowledge bomb on you, so listen up.” Wendy paused dramatically for effect before saying, “Women are people. I know, I know. Whoa. Let that sink in.”
