“Dude!” Wendy squealed when Tambry dumped water on her. She knew she’d dared her to do it, but she didn’t Tam would actually go through with it. Laughing, she pushed the wet hair from her face. “That was awesome!”
“Yeah, but everyone on the internet is also making other people do it, too. You’re probably the only person just doing it for fun without dragging anyone else into it, Wendy.” Tambry placed her phone in the center of a table and scooped up her grumpy looking pet, blowing air into his face and smiling at his offended expression before tossing the towel over to her friend.
"You know, I bet we could get Thompson to do this, too. He’s already shoved ice down his pants for over five minutes. This thing’ll be totally easy in comparison."
"Yeah, probably,” she agreed as she towelled off. “I should’ve made you join me, man. Maybe next time. Thanks for the towel.” Wendy laughed as she continued to dry herself off. While the icy water had first felt refreshing in the hot summer sun, she was starting to feel muggy in her soaked clothes. Thank goodness she’d thought to bring a spare set of clothes.
She looked up from drying off her jeans at Tambry’s suggestion. “Thompson? Why stop there? We could probably get the whole gang to do it.” Wendy paused, reconsidering her proposal. Robbie was still a weird part of their gang, even though she had broken up with him. There was no way Wendy and Tambry would be able to convince him to do the ice bucket challenge. “We could always catch Robbie by surprise.”
