He paused and looked at her for a moment. Something seemed to b e bothering her and he could tell. With the two movies he brought in hand, Dipper made his way over to her bed and sat on the foot of the mattress. “Whatcha’ looking up?” It sounded a little awkward as he was just trying to make small talk while she was busy.
Her first instinct was to lie—she was too chagrinned to admit she had lost her soul. But then she glanced up at Dipper and felt guilty tear through her. Wendy couldn’t lie to Dipper; if he ever found out, it’d ruin their friendship for sure. “Dipper, this might sound kinda weird, but does your journal mention anything about a weird dorito genie that takes souls?” As she asked, she realised how dumb that sounded. Of course it wouldn’t. “Wait, no, sorry. Scratch that.”
