The scream left her mouth as soon as she felt the rush of cold water pour down on her. She whipped around to find…a floating triangle? She shouldn’t be this surprised by it, but it still jarred her for all of ten seconds. “Uh…hi?”
It wouldn’t kill you, not right away anyways. You’d still have a few more years to live, but after you die your soul is mine. I can trade, keep it, put it in a jar, sell it in a jar, but all that doesn’t matter. You’d be doing it to save your mother. That is what you want, isn’t it?
As long as she had no immediate consequences for this, she was alright. Wendy wasn’t just doing this for herself; she was thinking of her father who had so painstakingly tried to take care of her. She felt more than a little ashamed by going against his warnings, but he’d understand just this once. “Yeah, let’s do this, man.”
