“Dude!” Wendy squealed when Tambry dumped water on her. She knew she’d dared her to do it, but she didn’t Tam would actually go through with it. Laughing, she pushed the wet hair from her face. “That was awesome!”
“Awesome and totally recorded for posterity!” The smaller teen waved her phone in the air and slowly loosened her hold on a piece of rope, the now empty bucket on the other end descending at a steady rate. “I can’t believe you did an ice bucket challenge for fun, dude. Need a towel?”
Tambry gestured towards a laundry basket on her back porch, a brown Abyssinian blinking lazily from atop the stack of clean linens.
”Everyone on the Internet was doing it and it looked like fun! Thanks for recording this, dude. It’ll be fun to remember when we’re, like, in college or whatever.” She chuckled as she wrung out her ginger locks. She’d have to ask to see the footage later, when she thawed out.
”Yeah, please, Tam.” She moved closer to the porch and held out a hand for the towel. She’d rather not risk getting it herself and making the cat mad at her. “It’s August and I think I’m getting frostbite.”
