“Lulu? She’s so rude to me, and I don’t think she even likes me, let alone be willing to date me. We used to be friends a long time ago, but now she’s the class snob. And she knows just what to say to jab you deep in the emotions. I don’t know. She kind of scares me at times.”
Dude, I love the childhood friends shtick a hella lot, and even more so if they kind of grew apart. Wendy would put so much energy into caring about Lulu and trying to make her feel included and wanted in everything. She’s totally oblivious to Lulu’s connection with the supernatural, and just thinks Lulu simply doesn’t like her for being a dumb, reckless teenager. Wendy would very much make it a point to bring Lulu into conversations when they’re hanging out with the other teens so she doesn’t feel so lonely and left out—Wendy hates seeing anyone left out of anything. I can see Lulu getting mildly uncomfortable with Wendy’s constant caring and being on-and-off with her, but Wendy would ultimately want what’s best for Lulu.
